• Learn how to tell the system to pick up the correct value on the invoice.
  • Use this technique to add data quickly to the invoice without training.

Value-based annotation is a type of annotation process that trains the system to pick up correct values. For example invoice dates, quantities or dollar amounts on the invoice correctly.

You can also use this technique to quickly add data on the invoice without training. It is a very handy technique to learn when you are using Ocerra.

Here's a video example:

A step-by-step guide:

  • To start this annotation process, click on the incorrect or missing value on the right-hand side of the screen. Then click on the correct value on the left-hand side of the original document. It should now automatically pick it up.
  • A red “Annotate” button will appear. Click it, and the system will start “learning”.
  • (!) Important: you should wait until the "Annotating invoice document" is finished before closing the pop up window. This will ensure that you see the annotation result:

The value didn't pick up after annotation

Sometimes the system might not give you a result after annotation. Please add the value again by following the above instructions but skip the annotate button. Save the document instead.

Adding Other information using the same technique

Value-based annotation-training is only applied on the header level of the document.

But you can use the same technique to quickly add data on the line-level. For example, you can use to quickly add quantifies, amounts and even description on the line-level:
