Important update with MYOB Acumatica Version 2023.1.3
If your API username or password is updated in MYOB, the connection with Ocerra will drop. To restore it, simply update the same details here: https://app.ocerra.com/#/master/acumatica-app
- Go to Settings > MYOB Acumatica and enter the same password you’ve set for the API user in MYOB Acumatica.
- The Enable Connection parameter will drop - so please enable and then click Save.
- Please note: Do not create a new password in Ocerra – simply enter the existing one from MYOB Acumatica to keep the connection working.
Important: If you don't have the the required access level in MYOB to update the API user, please get in touch with your MYOB support to assist you with this.
With the latest MYOB Acumatica version (2023.1.3) and later versions, it is now mandatory for each user's password to meet the following criteria:
- Passwords must be at least 14 characters long.
- Passwords must contain at least one upper-case letter (A to Z), one lower-case letter (a to z), and one number (0 to 9) or symbol (e.g., !#$%^).
(!) Ocerra uses an API user to connect with MYOB. When MYOB Acumatica updated to version 2023.1.3, it automatically resets your API user's password to meet these new requirements. This reset breaks the connection between Ocerra and MYOB because the passwords no longer match.
Here's a more detailed step-by-step guide:
To Restore the Connection:
Check the user Login name in Ocerra under the Settings - MYOB Acumatica for MYOB Acumatica User.
For example: OcerraAPI

3. Click Reset Passowrd and set a new password that meets the new requirements (at least 14 characters long, with upper-case letters, lower-case letters, and numbers or symbols).
4. Set to Never Expire and save (this may require to type in "Yes" to confirm that you would like the password never expire enabled).
Then navigate back to Ocerra and enter this passowrd in Ocerra to resotre the connection. The same password.
At the top of the Ocerra screen you should see Status: Connection was successful.
If unsuccessful, please ensure the credentials you have entered are correct.
What to do if the Connection Status shows: "Your account is locked"
If you see this message, this means that you have tried to enter incorrect password too many times. Navigate back to MYOB to Unlock the API user, e.g.:
Please note you can't create a new password in Ocerra, you need to create a password in MYOB and then enter exactly the same password in Ocerra settings as shown above.
Sharing API user with other third-pary apps
