Overview
- To keep the system cost-efficient and performance-optimised, Ocerra applies sensible limits to how much data is automatically extracted from invoices.
Page Limit: First 20 Pages Only
Ocerra automatically extracts data from the first 20 pages of any document. Pages beyond that are not processed for data extraction.
If a document is longer than 20 pages, you’ll see a message at the bottom of the document viewer:
“The document was truncated.”

For example:
We also recommend using the Clean option to remove any irrelevant extracted data from these types of invoices, then summarising the key information in a way that best suits your workflow.
Line Item Limit: Up to 400 Lines
Ocerra extracts a maximum of 400 lines per invoice. If the invoice includes more than 400 lines:
Only the first 400 will be captured (might require initial training/annotation).
The full PDF remains accessible for manual reference or entry.
? Why These Limits Exist
Ocerra is designed to be efficient and scalable. Unlimited extraction of pages and lines would significantly increase processing costs, which we aim to avoid - especially when most invoices don’t exceed these thresholds.
By setting these limits:
We keep pricing sustainable for all clients
We prioritise extracting data where it matters most
Note: If the document exceeds 3MB, it won’t be pushed to MYOB from Ocerra due to MYOB’s API file size limitations. In that case, you’ll need to manually download the file from Ocerra and upload it directly into MYOB.
