Ocerra does not require a mobile app. The platform is mobile-friendly and can be accessed from any browser, allowing approvers to review and approve invoices directly from their phone.

Important:
For the best mobile experience, approval pages should be in read-only mode.
If your approval screen looks cluttered or difficult to use on mobile, check that “Can Edit on Approval” is disabled in Settings → General.


How it works

When an invoice is ready for approval, the approver receives an email notification.

  1. Click the link in the email
  2. The invoice opens in Ocerra (in your mobile browser)
  3. Review the invoice details
  4. Approve or decline


The interface is optimised for mobile when using read-only approval mode.


Quick access setup (one-time)

To make future approvals faster:

  • Save your login details in your browser when prompted
  • Optionally, add Ocerra to your home screen:
    • iPhone (Safari): Share → Add to Home Screen
    • Android (Chrome): Menu → Add to Home Screen

This allows you to open Ocerra like an app without needing to log in each time.


About “Can Edit on Approval”

The “Can Edit on Approval” setting controls whether approvers can fully edit invoices during approval.

If this setting is enabled:

  • The approval screen becomes fully editable (same as via Invoices List)
  • The layout is more complex and less suitable for mobile use

If this setting is disabled (recommended):

  • The approval screen is clean and focused
  • It is much easier to use on mobile devices


Do approvers need full edit access?

In most cases, no.

  • Approvers typically only need to review and approve
  • Full edit mode is designed more for finance users working on desktop

If certain adjustments are required (e.g. account or job selection):

  • These can be configured without enabling full edit mode

This allows you to keep a simple mobile experience while still supporting necessary changes.
