MYOB has recently introduced enforcement of Acumatica storage entitlements, meaning customers who exceed the storage included with their subscription may incur additional storage charges.

Customers using more storage than their subscribed allowance may need to reduce their usage or increase their storage entitlement.

If you are reviewing your Acumatica storage, it may be useful to understand what Ocerra exports and what you can control.

What Ocerra exports to Acumatica

Original invoice attachment: required
The original invoice file is exported to Acumatica by default as part of the standard Ocerra integration.

It is exported at its existing file size.

Approval Log: optional

The Ocerra Approval Log can also be exported to Acumatica. This is a lightweight text file and has minimal impact on storage.

How to enable or disable this feature.

Other attachments: optional

Additional supporting documents attached in Ocerra can also be exported to Acumatica.

This is optional and can be disabled if you want to reduce attachment storage.

How to enable or disable this feature.

Does Ocerra compress invoice files?

No. Ocerra exports the original invoice document without additional compression.

Compressing every invoice before export would add significant processing and infrastructure overhead. To keep Ocerra processing efficient and pricing lean, we do not currently perform additional file compression.

What should I do if I'm concerned about storage?

Before changing your Ocerra configuration, we recommend checking your current Acumatica storage usage and storage entitlement first.

Also, hyour MYOB Acumatica administrator or MYOB partner should be able to help you review your current storage consumption and identify whether file attachments are a significant contributor.

If attachments are contributing materially to your storage usage, you can then review whether exporting optional Approval Logs or Other Supporting attachments from Ocerra is necessary for your workflow.
