You can upload GL accounts into Ocerra using the import template in Settings. This is useful when you are setting up your account list for the first time, or when you need to add more accounts later.

How to upload GL accounts

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Open the Import section.
  3. Click Download Template.
  4. Open the template and go to the GL Accounts tab.
  5. Enter your GL account details into the template.
  6. Save the file.
  7. Upload the completed file back into Ocerra and run the import.

How the import works
Ocerra checks each GL account by its Code.

  • If the code does not already exist in Ocerra, a new GL account will be created.
  • If the code already exists, Ocerra will update that existing GL account.
  • Ocerra does not create duplicate accounts when the same code is uploaded again.

If you want to add more GL accounts later
If you have already uploaded GL accounts before and only want to add new ones:

  1. Go to Settings > Import.
  2. Click Download Template.
  3. Enter only the new GL accounts you want to add on the GL Accounts tab.
  4. Save the file and upload it to Ocerra.

This will add the new accounts without affecting existing ones, as long as you do not include codes that are already in Ocerra.

Important
If you upload a GL account with a code that already exists in Ocerra, the existing account will be updated with the information in your file.
