Overview:


Statement Auto-Classification is a new feature in Ocerra that automatically sorts incoming documents into either the Invoices or Statements folder based on their content.


? Why is it in beta?

This feature is currently in testing mode and available by request only. While it works well in many cases, we're still refining its accuracy to ensure it performs consistently across different document formats and layouts. Please note, that occasional misclassification may occur - for example, an invoice might appear in the Statements folder or vice versa. If this happens, simply re-save the document into the correct folder. 


? How it works

When enabled:

  • Ocerra will analyse each incoming document.

  • If identified as a statement, it will be placed in the Statements folder.

  • If identified as an invoice, it will remain in the Invoices folder (default behaviour).

This helps you avoid manual sorting and ensures a cleaner, more organised document flow - especially if you receive a mix of document types via the same email address.


⚙️ Enabling the feature

This feature is not enabled by default at this stage.

If you'd like to try it out, please contact our support team and we’ll enable it for your account.


? Things to keep in mind

  • Manual override: You can still manually move documents between folders if needed.

  • Accuracy: As this is a beta feature, some documents may be misclassified. We recommend reviewing the folder contents during your initial usage.

  • Feedback: If you notice any issues or have suggestions, we’d love to hear from you to help us improve the feature.
